Black Friday 2016 gaming deals UK: Why you SHOULDN’T buy a PS4 and Xbox One right now

Black Friday 2016 UK Xbox One

With Black Friday 2016 closing in fast, you should definitely wait to buy a brand new Xbox One and original PS4.

Black Friday 2016 takes place on November 25 in the UK and North America, which means you can grab big discounts and cheap deals on video games and consoles.

With just three weeks to go before the big day, gamers should definitely hold off buying a new Xbox One and PS4, especially if previous years are anything to go by.

Just last year, UK retailers like Amazon and Argos were selling Xbox One bundles with multiple games for under £300.

GAME, meanwhile, was selling the PS4 with The Last of Us and Driveclub for £299.99.

It’s even more likely that we’ll see Xbox One and PS4 deals this year, because Microsoft and Sony have just released newer versions of their latest consoles.

The PS4 Slim is 30% smaller than the current PS4 and weighs 16% less than its predecessor.

Power consumption is also down by 28%, although sony claims the working components remain the same.

The robot white Xbox One S, meanwhile, sports a new design that’s 40% slimmer than the original Xbox One.

It has an internal power supply and supports 4K Ultra HD for Blu-ray discs and content streamed through Netflix and Amazon Video.

While the biggest discounts are likely to be found on older PS4 and Xbox One consoles, it’s possible the PS4 Slim and Xbox One S will also be discounted.

With a November 11 release date, it’s less likely that retailers will discount the PS4 Pro, but it is possible.

The release of the PS4 Slim coincided with a huge retailer push to sell older PS4 consoles in the UK.

Argos was selling the 500GB PS4 with a copy of FIFA 17 and the choice of a second game out of Uncharted 4, No Man’s Sky or Ratchet and Clank for just £149.99.

Other gadgets to avoid buying until Black Friday include smartphones, 4K TVs, laptops, tablets and headphones.
