OxygenOS community build updates rolling out for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus X

OnePlus is now sending out community build updates based on OxygenOS 3.5.2 for the OnePlus 3 and Oxygen OS 3.1.1 for the OnePlus X. Those who have previously installed a community build of OxygenOS will see this as an OTA update, while others will have to manually side load the update file via ADB. Naturally, you will have to make sure

all your personal data is backed up before proceeding with the side load of this update file as there is a slim chance that it could brick all your device data. It is a very slim chance, but it’s always better to be on the safer side.

As for the onboard features, the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus X will now see the addition of a new button that lets you kill all background processes, thus freeing up some RAM space. This button will be found on the recents menu, apparently. Other important features included in the update can be found below:

Improved incoming call notification

Easier configuration of fingerprint scanner for first time users

Ability to add PIN of up to 6 digits

Night mode/battery saver settings in the control panel

Contacts widgets back on the launcher

The new community build of the OxygenOS 3.5.2 can be downloaded here . Once installed, future community build updates will be sent over to your device as OTA updates.
